porticific guide
A personal portfolio journal you use from the web or from Claude: holdings and trades, the buy thesis behind each position, a watchlist, upcoming events, and analysis notes. It records trades you made elsewhere; it does not place orders or move money, and it is not investment advice.
Get started
- 1Create an account on the login page (Google or email).
- 2Add your holdings and the reason you bought each one, on the web or by asking Claude.
- 3Connect Claude (next section) and ask about your portfolio in plain language.
Connect to Claude
- 1In Claude, open Settings → Connectors and add porticific from the directory, or add a custom connector with the server URL below.
- 2Sign in with the same account and approve the consent screen. You can disconnect an app at any time in porticific Settings.
- 3Claude Code: run the command below, or create an API key in Settings and send it as an Authorization: Bearer header.
Things to ask
- “Summarize my portfolio with current prices and allocation.”
- “Show the thesis and claim status for NVDA.”
- “Which holdings have earnings in the next two weeks?”
- “I bought 10 shares of AAPL at 190 today. Record it.”
Tools
Every tool has a title and a read-only or destructive annotation. Tools that delete or overwrite data are marked destructive, so Claude asks before running them.

Analysis
Nothing is analysed automatically for you every day. Ask your own Claude (for example “analyze my AAPL and MU today”): it reads your data with analysis_context and saves the result with save_analysis, on your own Claude plan.
Optionally save your own Anthropic API key in Settings to run the analysis from porticific itself with run_daily_analysis, for the tickers you choose. The key is stored encrypted and you can delete it at any time. Without a key, those server-side tools return a “skipped” message and change nothing.
Your thesis claims are also re-checked once a week.
Prices
US prices are refreshed by the server once per trading day. They are delayed and for information only.
For anything else, or a fresher number, tell Claude the price or let it look one up, then it saves it with record_price. Prices may be delayed or inaccurate.
Your data
Your records are visible only to you and stored with row-level security. The connector receives only the tool name and arguments of a call, never your conversation. You can delete your account and all its data in Settings.

Optional: let your own Claude find prices
Copy one of these into Claude’s memory or custom instructions. It is your own instruction to your own assistant; porticific never sends it for you.
Let my Claude look up prices
When I ask about my porticific portfolio and a ticker has no saved price, or the saved price is more than a day old, look up its current price yourself (web search, or the price sheet below if I have one), save it with porticific's record_price tool, then answer. Tell me each price and where it came from. Never guess a price.
Use my Google Sheet as the price source
My prices live in my Google Sheet "Portfolio prices" (column A ticker, column B =GOOGLEFINANCE price). When prices are needed, read that sheet with my Google Drive connector and save every row with porticific's record_price tool using source "sheet".
